Add feature of Audio and Video Calls

Components

Xabber is an Open source Jabber (XMPP) client with multi-account support which allows us to connect with many users, we can connect with them by simply adding them and then we can chat with them and even send files to the user. There is a need of audio and video calling now with the connections we have already made in xabber, as its an XMPP client there is a need to move ahead of just instant messaging.

Proposal

Whenever you add a contact your can get it contact with the user you have added and simply you begin to chat with the user, This is shown in the picture below.

The proposal is very simple even if it's a XMPP client, there is a need of calling and video calling when we talk to the users we have added on the xabber. The audio and video call option should be available on the right top of the chat box for quick calling.

Mockups / Examples

Now i will paste an example of how the chat box will appear after we add the options of audio and video calls.

As we can see above the chat box will have too more important functions of making calls to contacts be it audio or video, this kind of support is offered by every social connecting apps now and should be considered.

Benefits

Talking about the benefits of the additions that i have been suggesting above is more pure form of communication with added advantage of less barriers or No barriers at all, the addition of this in XMPP can be the first of this kind, more importantly not only chats but group calls and conferences are something we are more dependent. Users will like to have this option and i think it must be considered.
