Suggestion To Add GIF To Kontalk

Component

Kontalk Messenger is an Open Source, a great chat app it is indeed, which enable you to connect with friend, and it requires your phone number for registration.

The Problem

Presently on Kontalk Messenger there are only one means of expressing yourself while chatting with your friends is through the emoji, this has limited Kontalk users in expressing themselves and more of like making users feel like they are together, this has been a problem to Kontalk users.

Proposal

In solving the problem above, I am suggesting that gif section is being added to Kontalk app so as to improve the means of expression on the chat app and increase interaction on the app, just like Whatsapp knows the secret and power of gif image in chat, that’s why they added it in which users have been making use of it. Below is the screenshot of how the Kontalk Messenger looks like presently.

Take a good look at the above screenshot, it’s obvious that the only means of expression there is by text and emoji

The above screenshot shows a GIF section in which users and make use of GIF by just clicking on it.

Benefit

• This will serve as a better means for users to express themselves while chatting
• It will improve the interaction level of friends on Kontalk
• It will make use stay long on Kontalk as they will want to explore this feature

Adding the GIF feature to Kontalk will be a plus and wonderful improve to Kontalk users, I hope the feature is added soon. Thanks
