Error While Exporting Favourites To Internal Memory Through Anexplorer

in utopian-io •  7 years ago  (edited)

Project Information

  • Title: Error while exporting favourtie files of poet assitant through anexplorer

Expected behavior

I expected exporting the said files through a third party app like An explorer to yield no errors.

Actual behavior

When Anexplorer is chosen as a medium to export favourite files from Poet Assitant, there is always an error feedback that reads "Could not export file to null". However; the files are saved but turn out to be corrupt, having sizes of 0.00byte.

How to reproduce

  • Download and install Poet assistant from Fdroid.org

  • Then download and install An Explorer

  • Launch both apps and granted them the necessary permissions.

Creating Favourites

  • Launch Poet Assistant, and locate a search icon next to three vertical dots at the top of the interface.

  • Click on the search icon and enter a keyword to search.

  • Locate the keyword in bold characters from the definition provided by the search operation and notice a star icon next to it

  • Click on the star icon to add that word to favourite.

Replicating the bug

  • Click on the three vertical dots located next to the search icon at the upper right corner of the interface.

  • Choose settings from the menu provided.

  • Locate the export option down the settings page and click on it.

  • Choose Anexplorer from the menu of possible mediums.

  • Navigate to any folder and save the file.

  • You will be redirected back to poet assitant interface, where you will find the error feedback.

  • Browser/App version: Poet Assitant V1.26.5 & AnExplorer v3.8

  • Operating system: Android v6.0 marshmallow

  • Device: Itel p12

  • Chipset: Spread

Hello @organik , I have tried several in Android 5 and 6 and finally the app worked well as you can see the gif below :

Have you confirmed there is something in your favourite list? Or have you selected the wrong saving path ?

Perhaps there is a slight difference between my device and yours. The bug still exist here and I can't seem to have it fixed. Did you have to set something up to get it to work?
