This blog post is about the start of an ongoing series of blogs and tutorials that I'm going to do about GDevelop. Some example of tutorials that you can expect in the future are how to use GDevelop for beginners up to creating simple games into complex games.
GDevelop is an open source, cross platform game engine software that can help beginners, especially people who doesn't have background in programming to create games, game maps, sprites and other things related to gaming.
It can be downloaded on this site: http://compilgames.net but it's also available as a web app where you don't have to download it to start creating some simple games. The latest version is GDevelop 4 though there's a GDevelop 5 Beta that's available but I'm using GDevelop 4.
It is available for several OS like Windows, macOS, Linux and Ubuntu.
Here are some of the features GDevelop has that aspiring game developers can take advantage of:
Multi-Language
GDevelop is available not only in English but other major languages too like Spanish and French and other translations such as for German and Chinese are already in the process . The games can also be translated in different languages.
Events
One of the awesome feature this game engine has. It lets you create movements for your games without putting any programming languages. You just have to choose what kind of movement that you want a character or sprite to do and it will follow that movement.
A Screenshot of behaviors you can do to your characters using the events feature.
Tons of Examples
After downloading GDevelop, it just doesn't come up with the software but tons of examples too such as basic car game, platformer, tower games, puzzles and much more that are ready to play with.
Some screenshots of the example games:
A basic car game.
A platformer that can be played in a browser.
And some of the other example projects that you can play around with. There's over 30 examples to choose from.
Drag and Drop
This is the best feature that I like with GDevelop. Most game engines require you to put codes for game development but with GDevelop, programming skills is not a requirement, you can even start creating games in as short as 30 minutes or less.
Extra Features
Here are some of the additional benefits game makers can have with GDevelop.
A lot of objects are ready to use - Game examples are basically projects already done by others for your benefits but if you want to start from scratch on your own, a lot of ready made objects can already be used like tanks, swords and even characters.
The scene editor - It lets you visually edit your stages or levels in games you created and it even supports multiple stages with external layouts.
Full Support - HTML5 games are supported for touch screens while native games can be played using keyboards or joystick, whatever you prefer.
That's it for now. I hope you find value in my post. Thank you for reading.

I did follow the template, there's the introduction and the topics which are the features, yeah this is going to be a tutorial series but since this is the start, I didn't feel it should be in the tuts category yet because there's no tutorial involved but rather the functions of the open source project as stated in rule number 4 of the blog category.
I'm not sure about the editorial content but I did copied one that got approved. Anyways, thank you for the kind review and comment.
