Suggestions to improve open source app NewsBlur.

Here are some features to improve an open source news app called NewsBlur.

1. Categories :

This feature might prove useful for the user to navigate through different categories such as there are many categories in which there is news every days such as sports, movies, business etc,. For example, see the pictures down below:

2. An option to read more about a news:

This option is pretty straight forward, this app delivers very less info about news, there should be an option to know more about that particular news or at least a link that will redirect the user to the page that has more info. If implemented it will look something like the picture below:

3. News according to the user's location:

Since the app doesn't show news according to the user's region, it may cause some inconvenience to the user. Foe example, I live here in India, I was expecting this app to show me news related to my country but it failed to live up to my expectations. There should be an option which should either be something like selection of country, or a sign up which asks about which country the user is from.

4. Language Selection:

This feature is for the user's comfort. Reading in one's own language is comfortable than reading in a language the user may not be familiar with.

5. Notifications:

This feature can give time to time updates to the user.

These are some features that may come to be useful for rich user experience. I'll try my best to give more and more suggestions for this app in the future.
