As a computer scientist, I have always been fond of programming. However, I have only started to learn about it when I entered college. Nowadays, there are a wide range of resources available that could teach us how to program. Code.org was just one of the few websites that offers programming courses to even pre-readers. But one thing that sets their program apart from other tutorial sites is that it introduces programming concepts through game development. The use of Minecraft, Flappy Bird, Angry Bird and many other apps has made the journey a bit more fun and exciting compared with the traditional classroom lessons.
Introduction
Personally, I have been actively involved with the translation of the project to our local language: Filipino. I have translated over 100 thousand words of text for this project, and still in progress. It has always been my hope that through my efforts more people will be interested with Computer Science. And I hope people will take advantage of this free learning opportunity.
Code.org® is a non-profit dedicated to expanding access to computer science and increasing participation by women and underrepresented minorities. Our vision is that every student in every school should have the opportunity to learn computer science, just like biology, chemistry or algebra. Code.org organizes the annual Hour of Code campaign which has engaged 10% of all students in the world and provides the leading curriculum for K-12 computer science in the largest school districts in the United States. Code.org is supported by generous donors including Microsoft, Facebook, the Infosys Foundation, Google, Omidyar Network, and many more.

Audience
One of the goals of Code.org was to encourage educators and young professionals to volunteer to the program with the aim to reach out to a lot of underrepresented minorities, to bring computer science to remote areas, and to give equal opportunities to learn programming. Because of this, two campaigns made are targeted to young professionals, ages 18 - 24, from the following countries: Philippines, Mexico, Indonesia, US, Nigeria and India.
Activity
For this project, created 2 campaigns (one regular ad, and a boosted facebook post).
Results
For the 2 campaigns, have reached a total of over 19k unique users with a total engagement of 1k, mostly likes with 20 post clicks.

PS: you almost had me! But the exactly 1000 likes and just 1 click gave it away. I like the Minecraft pictures though!

I've always liked computing, particularly software programs and all that. I've wanted to learn to program but I really do not know where to start.
From what you say, code.org could be a starting point. I will prove it.
