Hello Friends

Finally my first contribution on the Utopian platform. Thank you for the suggestion, my good friend @aleister.

For this contribution, I chose the "Minecolonies" project by @reggaemuffin. Minecolonies is basically a mod for a very popular game called Minecraft. This mod allows players to set up their colonies and workers in the Minecraft game. Since I myself enjoy playing games and also do English-Hindi translations; this project was a perfect fit for me!

I have mainly done the proofreading part as most of the translation work was done before me starting on this project. But sadly, upon proofreading, I found that the translations were of very poor quality. They were mostly the translations suggested by the auto-translator built in crowddin site. There were other translations which although, were literally correct, but did not fit in the context of the string. For example, when the context is an activity; then translating gathering as crowd is totally wrong, even though it is literally correct. Another example: translating mob as crowd; but in the games, mob means a monster which the player has to attack or which attacks the player or his /her resources.

And then there was the localization part which was totally ignored. You can't just literally translate, "Buckle up cowboy! There's some darn raiders commin' for you Tonight!" into your local language. You have to **localize **it!! Localization means to translate in a way that the local people can understand and relate to it. So basically you should not translate word to word, but in a practical manner. This is what I learned while working with Wikihow and Lionbridge, and I use it in all my translation projects.

Here is my translation and proofreading summary:

You will see that I commented on 24 strings out of 498 strings. These were the strings where I corrected the translations of other Hindi proofreader. I left the comments so that he can discuss the corrections in case he doesn't agree to them. Also, even though there are just 104 suggestion approvals shown in the summary, I have checked each and every suggestion including that of other proofreader. I was just a bit late to start on the project.
