Some additional features for SwpieView app

Problem

Before knowing the problems of this app, let's know what this app can do. The app is a photo/video/gif viewer which you can use once selecting a folder from the memory of your device. That is all this app can do. So you can understand the problem here. Some basic features are missing and that need to be added for users to really download and use this app. If this is all this all does, then nobody will be bothered about it. Everyone can use their gallery apps to view photos or videos with a lot of functionality and ease.

How to improve and what to implement.

This app needs a lot of improvement for users to consider it. The app is missing some basic features like showing all the folders, that contain photos or videos, in the app, crop, rename, delete, share, etc. which I've suggested in my previous contribution. Some more features need to implemented by the app which will be great additions.

Features I'm suggesting and their benefits

• I'm suggesting that there should be an option to print your photos to a home computer or print them in a printing shop. The benefit of this is the thinking that your great pictures should not stay on your mobile phone and be printed so that they can stay safe and for you to decorate your wardrobe.

• Another feature that I'd like the app to don is the ability to set picture as a wallpaper/homescreen/contact photo/whatsapp profile picture. The benefit here can be understood that you wouldn't need to go to whatsapp or a contact manually and the choose a picture, you can directly set a picture for those while going through your gallery in SwpieView app. You can change your preferences as you wish.

• Options to move photos or videos to folders you wish to. The benefit of this is that you can create a playlist for yourself for different kinds of photos and videos.

• I'm also suggesting that there should be support for online albums which is a rare functionality but this will make the app certainly stand apart. Online albums can be understood as having access to your albums that are present online on different social platforms like Facebook and Instagram. You can get a direct access to your online albums which will be an amazing step for this app.

Implementation

Current as I've shown above, the app actually does nothing apart from showing you picture of "single" folder. SwpieView can be made better once the features I suggested above are implemented in it and these features can be implemented making use of some current gallery apps and taking an idea from their implementation of these features to consider them.

Here you can see in the image above an option available for printing your photograph. This should be implemented in the app as shown in the image above

The above image is the example of the second suggestion I proposed above. After clicking the options button you should get an option to set picture as wallpaper, whatsapp profile picture, or lockscreen, etc.

In the image above you see the option available for moving your file, by clicking this button you should be directed to different folders and choose where you want to move the file

The image above is taken from A+ gallery which supports the functionality of online albums. I'm suggesting a similar implementation to this app for this feature. A separate option where you can then have folders of different social media platforms and create your own albums.

Thinking of this app as a gallery, as it does what a gallery app would do but with a little functionality. These features should really be included in the app for users to have a better experience on it. The benefits that these features have are immense as I've mentioned above and their implementation will certainly see this app new users. I believe these are some features worth consideration and should be made available by the app in its next upgrade for it to keep up with the competition and the demand of the users.
