Thingiverse.com is one of the largest and well known sites for 3d artists and designers. Around 208,000 unique visitors land on that site per day. To underscore the popularity I have checked Thingiverse on Alexa and it is ranked on global place 1478.
I like to start an initiative to actively advertise Steemit and it's ecosystem on each of my Thingiverse posts. For example the Kindle Holder I uploaded to Thingiverse 3 days ago has already been 393 times reviewed so far and counting.
Currently around 80 unique users visit my profile daily and I am not very active there. With increasing my posting efforts I expect the number to increase rapidly and my aim is to reach more than 200 users per day within the next 3 month.

To advertise Steemit I will place a link to my Steemit post, as well as a short description about Steemit in every future Thingiverse post. My expectation is that with increasing popularity on Thingiverse this should also attract new users to sign up to Steemit.

If you browse through my profile than you will see that I have promoted STEEM and Steemit in the past as well but didn't include links to Steemit. Going forward I aim to make more SEEM related designs that will act as additional advertisement itself and in addition to the Steemit links in my posts.
I believe there are not many other 3d designers who create STEEM related prints so this is definitely an opportunity get noticed in the Thingiverse community and attract interest.
I personally would love to see more designers and 3d artists to join the Steemit and it's ecosystem so I hope you will support me with this initiative. Also if you have any suggestions for a useful STEEM related design or print than please let me know in the comments.

Funny thing I was looking on thingiverse at the end of last year, and saw the steemit logo come up a few times, I had no idea what it was about, I wish I had followed it up back then.

For future submissions, I would suggest if you could track actual clicks on your steemit links, maybe using a URL shortener. This would allow to properly capture more accurate numbers of your efforts and their relevance to steemit and interested viewers.
