Utopian.io is a community dedicated to open source project development. Contribution posts can gain upvotes from Utopian if they meet certain standards and criteria and pass moderation.
However Utopian contributions are not limited to coding or development. There are many different categories of contributions that are eligible for rewards. One category is Translation, with the aim being to translate open source project documents (such as the Steem whitepaper) into different langauges.
Utopian translation is run in conjunction with DaVinci. This partnership was established to ensure higher standards of translation and remove some of the previous issues that were arising, for example from machine translation.
Only certain languages are currently supported, currently Spanish, Chinese (both Traditional and Simplified), Vietnamese, Slovenian, Dutch, German, Arabic, French, Hebrew, Italian, Greek and Polish. However this list continues to grow as the team expands.
To become an approved translator you have to start by making an application. This should include an introduction to yourself and your reasons for wanting to become a translator as well as your qualifications and expertise and your previous experience with Utopian.
