HEDE: The Wikipedia of our time. [Part Three]

Introduction

Posting on HEDE without knowing exactly what you are posting isn’t actually a good way to pass information to those who are in search of such information and those who might come across such information. If an information would add no value to someone’s life, then there is no need for him/ her to go through such information because it will seem as a waste of time and resources.

Have you ever gotten into website that gives information and you find out that you even know better than what they have on their site or the information they have given is not correct, that is because they didn’t make enough researches on that topic before giving out their information that is the reason why one must get concrete information and always make updates on previous findings.

On this HEDE platform, I would urge every user and contributor to make thorough researches before making an entry and also give updates so as not to leave the platform behind in the world changes that occur every day. Also, I would like to use this medium to also encourage the contributors and users of this platform with interesting rewards that would always give them a reason to carry out updates.

Having said that, I would recall that I spoke in my previous part of this series on the various themes used by HEDE users when posting or making an entry. I term those themes as more important though there are no more important or less important themes, it is how the user sees it or the individual in need of such information. Hence, I am here once more to speak on another set of themes I would tag as 2nd class important as attributed to me and whoever shares the same idea as me. These themes can add to one’s life or initiative if the users of HEDE can provide them how they are to be.

The 2nd class important themes

Without themes or categories on a website or platform, there won’t be order and finding of information would be difficult. HEDE making this available has also eased their consumers’ stress that is why those consumers are to find accurate and important information in those themes. Hence, the themes I tag so includes:

AVIATION: This is a particular class of themes talks about the aviation industry and everything one has to know to add knowledge or something to his life. Now, this doesn’t entail you speaking about the lists of the plane crashes that happened in a certain year and the number of passengers that died and giving of the names of the dead ones. HEDE is to provide fun and joy and not sorrows or pain.

The kind of information one is to see on HEDE under this theme could include the earliest production of aircraft and their breakdowns into the various classes of aircraft. It also talks on their capabilities and other vital information that one could get from their history apart from the unnecessary information.

Still under this theme, one could include an entry about how the engines functions, how to create one, the mechanism, materials required for that, the capacity of load carriage and also what one can do in the time of defaults and spoilage. All these are the kinds of information that would add to someone’s idea of the aviation theme.

ECONOMY: When one speaks of an economy, it is the language of money. If the economy rises, so what the money value rise and if it drops, also would the money value drop. Some people see the economy as the language of money. At the moment, everyone do not know about the economy of every nation but some people know a good deal of their own nation and I would say that I share a blood relation with those classes of people.

When one wants to give information about economy, the information should not be like going to the newspaper every day to find out and report back what had happened to the economy of a certain country and what their market value is at that moment. Instead, this information should first of all, give details of the way or what has caused such economy to drop to such level and what one could do to tackle it and restore it to place.

Now, some people may see HEDE as a platform that they get any kind of information and post and they would get an upvote. This platform can add value to a nation’s growth. Someone situated in a high office at the government of a nation could stumble over a HEDE link when searching on Google for a certain topic and could find or discover an entry which he would add in their governance and it would yield beautiful results. That is the reason I stress on realistic information because the platform is not a child’s plaything.

FOOD: Can you stay a day without eating or drinking something? Some people would give you the answer yes. But can you stay a month without eating or drinking water, which I would term impossible and even though you do, it would have a very bad repercussion on your health because water is life and without food, you are actually going nowhere.

Under the food theme, it is not proper for one to begin speaking on the breakdown of food classes and what are the effects of not taking protein or carbohydrate or one other of those food nutrients. Also, one shouldn’t bring discussions on how our body reacts to the eating of too much of a particular food product or class. All those should be under the Health theme as I pointed out in my previous post.

But when speaking on foods, you talk about the different types of foods in different parts of the world and how you can make them. It is also necessary to speak on how best one can enjoy eating them and a list of the necessary ingredients to use when making them to give the right tastes. Also, there should be different methods of preparing them and a comprehensive step of how to prepare such dishes.

An example of a Food entry-

HEALTH: This is the major theme that I should have discussed first but there are reasons I put it under this class. Without health, life could be meaningless. As the saying goes, “health is wealth”, if one does not have a good health, then life can't be enjoyable for such a person. You can imagine when one gets a sickness that pulls him / her down and the doctor give restrictions on what one should consume and what one should not consume. Also, the doctor could give a long dosage of drugs that one should take from day to day and thence, one would begin living under another set of rules and regulations apart from the rules of the state and the divine rules.

Having explained this, every entry under this theme should focus on the dos and donts of eating and nutrition. It should explain what one would eat and how it would result in the body and how to prevent several illnesses. It should also talk about health benefits of certain foods and fruits and every other practice that when one carries out, it would add value to his/ her life instead of harm.

There should also be the explanations of healthy ways of living and what one would do help life worth living. In the first part of this series, I talked about conflicting education with health and here, I would like to explain that Health should have a look as a deeper aspect of the health education which is also a part of education.

TECHNOLOGY: As the name implies, it is the bedrock of development in the human lives and @ercu was completely right in adding it to be a theme under this platform. Technology would talk about the breakthroughs human discover form day to day and also the improvements, upgrades and general achievements including new products developed. It should also talk about discoveries of the modern world and how one can install it.

Now, one doesn’t have to come and start giving information about how a disaster occurred in a technical firm. Also, one shouldn't talk of how a technological experiment went bad. Or even the number of casualties that they sustained. It should only center on what they achieved and how it would better human lives. If one could make it at home, then concrete steps and patterns on how they can build it should follow. Note that if you find out a new technology that you FEEL that people can also make at home. Then, someone who has gotten this information from HEDE tries it out and gets in bad shape. It is your fault and you would judge yourself for that.

You should never FEEL that such technology could go a certain way but instead, you should be 100% sure that it would be safe to carry out such before making such entry on HEDE. How you can do this is by going online to find out possible videos of someone making it at home or someone carrying it out. Also, a video should not be enough but instead, many videos that points to the same testimony to be sure that you are giving a tested and trusted information.

Conclusion

For the moment, these are the few themes I would speak on now but in my next parts, I would speak on the themes I have termed according to my own grading, 3rd and 4th class themes.

One should also note that when making an entry on the HEDE platform, one should ensure that first, there is an understanding of what he/she is writing about and then, make sure the proper entry is being made use of. Also, it is necessary to give true and accurate information so as not to discredit HEDE and make people see it as a dumping ground for wrong information for the fun of getting upvotes.

With the help of the boss here on HEDE, @ercu and also if we all join hands to make this platform functioning as expected of it with concrete and standard information, facts and entries, then in due time, we hope that we would rise back to the top and our currency would top the exchange market with distant values.
