Expected behavior
When the user adds a song to a playlist, and the song already exist in the playlist; the application is supposed to inform the user that song already exists, without adding a different version of the same song.
Actual behavior
The music player keeps adding different versions of the same song to the playlist, without informing the user that the song already exists.
How to reproduce
- Download Vanilla Music Player;
- Launch the application ;
- Create a new playlist and add a particular song to the playlist;
- Go and add the same song over and over again. It will keep adding different versions of the same song without informing the user that the song already exists in the playlist.

I believe that your contribution is actually a missing feature rather than a bug. Within this contribution you note the following:
"without adding a different version of the same song."
I believe the application is supposed to allow the user the ability to add a song multiple times, for example, a user who likes a particular song may want the song on their playlist multiple times mixed among other songs in order to allow them to listen to it multiple times without needing to select it from the list.
Secondly, you mention that there should be warning pop up, there is no indication that an error has occurred on the application or that this feature should present, it's because of this I don't believe this is a bug and is a feature which is actually missing from the application.
