I almost became a believer in the flu shot

We currently have a flu going through the house that is so bad and painful I almost became a believer in the flu shot. In my previous posts I have taken a strong stand against the flu shot but watching my kids suffer and feeling the same way they do I actually thought about getting it next year. I believe we have the 2017-2018 flu bug of the year.

When the flu first hit the house it hit my son who already has a lung condition so I just assumed he was so sick because of it. But then I got it and it knocked me flat on my back. The first day I felt like I was dying literally I mean. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't sleep, I couldn't even cough I was so plugged up. I was also running a fever of 102. It wasn't just my son's condition it was the flu bug. After I got it My daughter got it and then my youngest son. They too were hit real hard.

I've been around for a long time and I have been sick many times with the flu to know that these new flu's that are coming out are truly super bugs. My conspiracy mind almost wants to think they are man made to make us want to take the flu shot. One time with one of these bugs is almost enough to make anyone a believer in the shot. I can now honestly say I have had the bug and the shot and both have made me so sick. Because I have been sick from the flu shot I am not willing to go and get it just because. But sadly more and more people are taking the flu shot in the name of health and in reality are we breaking down our own immunity? By taking these shots I think our bodies are forgetting to fight. Before the almighty flu shot we would do old home style remedies and our bodies would respond. I think we are allowing our bodies to become tuned into taking the easy way out. If only we would allow our bodies do what God made them to do.

So as I said earlier I almost became a believer in the flu shot but now that I am on the road to health I am willing to allow nature to take place and not rely on man made poison. But I'm telling you if someone had offered me a quick cure the day that I felt like I was dying I think I would have taken the cure. That's why I believe that when we are healthy we need to take a strong stand either fore or against something and remember what we chose when we are in our most weakest state.

Have not had the flu or the flu shot in years. Upvoted. Resteemed.

Thank you so much. Consider yourself blessed that you haven't been sick and I really hope you don't get sick. Thank you for supporting me.

Have been sick a few times my first 20 or so years of my life. Maybe had the flu or something back then. Turning 33 next month. Have not been very sick in years. Maybe got food poisoning or some stomachaches while living 5 years teaching English in Vietnam. But yea, I'm blessed. Thanks. Hope I don't get really sick any time soon. I eat garlic. I am Mister Oatmeal.

I couldn't be bothered to get the shot last year and in the end I got hit with swine flu... Even if the effectiveness was 20%, in hindsight I would have taken the vaccine.

How do you know what you had was the flu? Other illnesses have identical symptoms to influenza.
