Absinthe and Art

Absinthe gained tremendous amount of reputation due to its high alcohol content, Absinthe was consumed intensely by writers and painters in that time in Europe.

Vangogh and Absinthe

He was one of the artist who was in hard consumer category for this product , the wavey structure and the vibration in t he painting might be caused by this alcholic substance.

Like this Vibrational structure

Or in this Painting just before he suicided

Why was the reason for him to see the stars and moon so big ? Why they were painted as like the sky was chasing for vincent , well obviously absente was not the only reason for those but denying the affect might be wrong too.

Manet - Absinthe drinker

We see a man with worn clothes in this painting and there is an empty absinthe bottle and there is one full glass. This is one of Manet's earlier jobs therefore the young painter was a little enthusiastic. He thought that it will create massive affect and increase social awareness. His yoda accused him of losing the moral values for painting a drunk man from Paris. As you can clearly understand these guys faced with some stuff like this.

Thank you for that information. It was a pleasure to read your view.

Alcohol for me as health specialist is not a good thing. Not for health.

Some artists use it as a source of inspiration, this seems to me to be a constructive and good use of alcohol. Not for drinking, but for getting inspired. And as desinfection possibly.

tenkyu. very nice

Bizde pek böyle etkileri olmuyor biraz da yetenek lazım galiba :) Bu ilginç bilgiler için teşekkürler :)

This post was incredibly enlightening. I first heard of Absinthe back in 2004, while watching the movie EuroTrip http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0356150/
They called it the Green Fairy drink. I still have yet to get to taste it myself, I'm sure I will one day.

I too am an artist, perhaps you will take the time to check out my work. My art is more affected by catalyst such as DMT more than anything else. Let me know what you think. If you enjoy, be sure to follow back :)

Very intriguing post my Friend! Even we can't figure humans out! LOL! Even when we drink! LOL! Two thumbs up! The paintings are out of this world! So much talent on planet earth! Positive Energy! Blessed 2018! :)

Interesting perspective. It is no secret that a lot of artists suffer from depression and everything that comes with it. Artists often place their emotions and life in their work either on purpose or subconsciously.

Excellent post. Thanks for sharing.
