A project from the Vee Finance decentralized finance space on the Avalanche blockchain was subjected to a hacker attack, as a result, losing about $35 million. The attackers got 8804.7 ETH ($26 million) and 213.93 BTC ($9 million). Assets in stablecoins were not affected.

The developers indicated the address with which the attack was carried out and which is still used to store the stolen funds. There is no detailed information about the attack yet.
"We would like to launch a reward program for the bug you found. Please contact us by email or using other methods, " they added, referring to the hacker.
On Saturday, Vee Finance announced that the total amount of assets blocked on their platform exceeded $300 million. The project was launched on September 14, calling its goal "filling the gap between traditional finance and DeFi, as well as providing users with an improved service for managing digital assets." To attract users, Vee Finance uses high-yield pools and token distribution. Vee Finance's own token (VEE) fell twice in price against the background of the attack.

This is the second large-scale attack on the Avalanche blockchain DeFi project. Earlier this month, Zabu Finance lost $3.2 million.
