I EAT THE RAINBOW BABY ALKALINE VS ACID

Ok my Steemians I want to talk about the alkaline versus acid diet that I have read a few post of varying opinions, I particularly believe in balance when it comes to diet, I respect and follow a plant based diet. I am not a scientist or nutritionist so I won’t be coming to you on that type of level, I come from a place of experience and common sense.

I suffer from allergies, eczema and psoriasis sugar is one of my worst enemies and yes it has been a struggle as I truly have a bad sweet tooth, I am my own worst enemy at times. From I can remember myself I have been peddled drugs by my doctors to relieve my conditions, may I emphasize not to heal. To relieve a condition does not eliminate it; it allows you to live comfortably with that ailment for the rest of your life. Common sense kicks in I have an inner dialog that goes like this “girlfriend are you alright? Do you want to be addicted to prescription drugs that you have to pay for, of which the side effects will assist with your death, due to the pressure on your vital organs with synthetic drugs? Your doctors and the pharmaceutical industry are big pimping you mama.” I would breakout, itch, sneeze and lose my ability to breathe when in contact with dust, mould, cats, pollen, and polluted air in general. Sick to death of constant doctor’s visit and the side effects of prescriptive drugs I decided to take my health into my own hands by looking at alternative medicines to heal me of my allergies.

My journey has been long but I will say it has been mostly positive and successful. I researched diets and my family are fasting people so I understood that fasting abstaining from eating would allow the intestines and other vital organs to rest allowing the body to heal. I realized a pattern after fasting for a few days at certain times in the year that my health would be greatly improved. I would go back to my diet of eating meat, sugar and processed foods and my condition would return like clockwork. To the nay sayers diet is key when you are ill, I realized that I had to look at my diet by process of elimination our bodies never deceive us if we listen to it. I eliminated red meat it was good and I only ate white meat but I still had my aliments but they were not as invasive. I did my homework and stopped eating meat as I believe that eating meat can also cause disease if the animals are stressed out or sick all the negative energy is transferred to the eater. I don’t need a scientist to verify my previous statement as I know it is true based on experience, which I will leave for another post. I have adopted a plant based diet and herbs which have improved my health and life. I AM AS HEALED AS I EVER WOULD BE in comparison to a life fueled by prescriptive drugs infused frenzy without any such healing. I would be healed if it was not for the toxic pollution in the atmosphere but the majority of the time I have hardly any of my symptoms unless I indulge in sugars. My lifestyle consists of detoxing, exercising, fasting and a balanced diet which is more alkaline heavy.

I testify that your body can heal and repair itself you have a built in system you are your own doctor, if we would but listen, I have had acupuncture and herbal therapy during my journey which has worked a treat. Diet has been the key to my long term recovery clean air and oxygen and you would have a fully healed Steemian thank you goodnight or grand rising wherever you are in the world.

I will follow your advice to listen to our body...we really need to take care our body because it's a gift to us. Health is wealth so we must be careful with the food we eat. Thanks for your insights on how to take care of our body. Following you @sheapureness...

Good for sharing personal experience.

Our body is daily poisoned in all ways.

All we need to do is just see that and act only a little bit if we can't do more. But any step, even a tiny one, can make a difference and maybe to let us see how better we feel with that change.

Sorry to hear about your allergies and other problems. It is good that you found a way and doing better now.

I eat lot of vegetables. Always i liked to put anything that i have around in any meal or lot of times just eating when trim and clean them. They are so good when fresh peeled and cleaned with water.

But, i'm not a vegetarian. I eat meat.

Also, in last 15-20 years i eat with less oil or not at all. I almost hate it, even if it is needed sometimes.
With my health condition, some sort of arthritis, don't know till now what it is, i have to eat more healthy.

Eh, cheers for your winning also and good health my friend!

@ilvstranger it's true even if we take small step in improving our diet our bodies will appreciate the love. Light exercise, balanced diet and the odd fast does the body a world of good my #cof

Hi! This is true. I have heard testimonies that with proper diet, your body will be healed. My father has a stage 3 cancer and I'm hoping for a good result for the next months to come. He started his diet just this month.

Hi @zyrawr I'm so sorry to hear about your father. I lost my dad to a very aggressive cancer, and my mom battled against breast cancer a couple of years later so I became very interested in this topic. I've read a lot about natural cancer cures and thought I'd mention a few things you may want to add to the mix. One is compound called Laetrile and its found in apricot kernals (the inside of apricot stones) apples seeds among other things. It suppose to actually kill cancer cells but I have no direct experience with it. You'd have to do a good amount of research of course but here is one link:

I think a positive attitude, connecting with nature, yoga, emotional healing combined with nutrition are important. A real holistic approach is needed (just my opinion). I hope he pulls through! I wish you both all the best.

Thank you for this wonderful information. I'm sure this is going to help my dad to recover fast. ❤

@zyrawr wishing your father the best of healing on his journey to optimum health. I hope you will also join your father on this healthy diet journey prevention is better than cure. When your eat right your body will look after you also and perform at it's best. @zyrawr do follow me the vibe is right.

This is amazing! I love this so much, we should eat like food is our medicine..getting all the healthy vitamins from them. Awesome job you did on yourself!😃

@clove71 let thy food be thy medicine that's exactly what it is, I know I have eaten my body into health and listen to my body to recognize what I should or should not indulge in. I have sensitive skin I find out quite quickly what to avoid, I do sometime indulge in sugary foods but in moderation or I suffer. Glad you enjoyed the post each one teach one.

Yes, I loved it! I have to get off the sugar myself! It's a process. 😃

I'm with you Sista! Plant based is alive and healthy.

Well, except for quality chocolate, of course!

@stonemaiden I agree with you chocolate is good especially when it is pure, dark chocolate is really good, as long as it has no diary products added to it. Diary for me is a no no. Thanks for stopping by sistar.

Good post, though it's not really about acid vs alkaline as is expected from the title and first sentence. The first 4 episodes of my podcast are about the four elements of natural health. You mentioned 2 of them in your post (food & air/oxygen). The other 2 are water and sunlight. I've posted them all on here. Judging by your post I'm sure you'd like those episodes, and probably some of my other posts. So check them out and follow me if you'd like to see posts like that in your feed.

Best of wishes for you on your health journey!

Thank you @arevolution I will certainly check out your podcast and thank for stopping by.

Oh my goodness @sheapureness! This is such an amazing article! I love that you've taken the approach I encourage and that is not to preach but to lead by example! You're right, everyone's body is different and there are people who will go to great lengths to defend their way of eating but that is not the way of #veganwednesday, we love and inspire and I am so thrilled to see that here <3 I'm happy you've found healing through food, it's my passion in life and I am overjoyed to hear more people sharing their experiences! XO

Glad you liked it, food is definitely my passion and I want people to realize that food can sustain health, longevity and joyous life it's does not have to be boring when living on a plant based diet, their are just too many options from all over the globe.
