After a complaint from the patients an inspection was made to the José Gregorio Hernández Urological Unit, located Guatire in Miranda state, this was done by the Special Actions Forces of the Bolivarian National Police, which detained five people and seized medicine boxes and surgical medical material, stolen from the Domingo Luciani Hospital.
The police seized laparotomy kits, surgical sutures, antibiotics (ampoules), injector boxes, surgical gowns, boxes of salbutanol, compresses, boxes of various medications (some expired) bags for blood transfusion, without the corresponding sanitary controls.
The detainees were identified as: Vicente Dieguez Salinas, head of the urology department of the Domingo Lucian Hospital and director of the José Gregorio Hernández Urological Unit, Marisol Aguilar Medina, Lorgin Iván Blanco Palacios, Keivis Rafael Pérez and Juan Manuel Parica Longa. These last three employees of the urological unit.
The 4th Public Prosecutor's Office of Common Crimes of the State of Miranda has knowledge of the case. It should be noted that these positions are politically placed from the health center, the official government, as well as all these supplies were sold to the patients and the government, which controls everything, says that the health centers are in optimal condition.
