Aleksa's Book Review: Mastering the VC Game

It sounds like a "how to pitch and win" book, but it's anything but. It very soberly and reasonably analyses the ecosystem of venture capital in Boston, California and China - highlighting the common denominators in all three. And that is the following: it's a very small number of people who move around a disproportionately large amount of funds.

From establishing contact with VCs, to the pitch and negotiation, the book goes through all the motions of what it takes to work with VCs as an entrepreneur - that's all well and good. However, the book particularly shines when it comes to the explanation of how these relationship ecosystems develop at events, through twitter and much else.

Delivering on everything you'd expect of it and also providing some interesting insights from the inside of the black box is always appreciated, but this book sometimes veers too much into the personal and anecdotal that didn't really resonate with me. Other than that, I would recommend the read.
