Growing Citrus From Cuttings: How To Keep A Tree You Love

in video •  8 years ago  (edited)

When my friend told us that she was moving we were a little sad. She was sad too, but for more than just that... she had to leave her beloved Key Lime tree behind. I have had some success with propagating fruit trees so I wanted to see if I could help her take this tree with her.

That video was published to YouTube in May of 2016. That was about a year ago. I had no idea the response to the video would be this great. People all over the world have contacted me to thank me for this little bit of a knowledge. I have had success with this method and others. I really wanted to document the process for my friend so she could take a piece of her tree with her.

Interesting technique, Blake. So far I have had better luck growing from seed. It takes a bit longer to harvest, but the thrill of seeing a tree sprout from a small seed is something I don't want to miss.
