I amazed how much resistance the water offers to the bullet. In the videos you can see the round travel about five feet before it loses its momentum and drops like a stone. Mythbusters did something similiar, but they stood above the water and fired down with similiar results. They determined you could hide under water to avoid get shot, especially if the the round has to travel at an angle to reach you.
