Big Buddha and Po Lin Monastery - Hong Kong

in video •  6 years ago

After we arrived in Hong Kong we had again a long stopover and around 8 hours to spend, so we decided take a ride up the mountain with the Ngong Ping 360 cable car on Lantaw Island to visit the Ngong Ping village, the Tian Tan Buddha and the nearby Po Lin Monastery. It was amazing up there and standing infront of this giant Buddha statue is just breathtaking just like beautiful Monastery. The way back down with the cable car was a litte shaky because it was pretty windy that day but we made it down save again. There are quite a few other ways you can spend a long stopover in Hong Kong but I can only recommend to use the time and visit this amazing place which is not far from the airport. But now we have to get back to catch our connecting flight to the Philippines. Two and half hours to go and we are finally in Cebu.
