This making of shows the bread and butter of a composite artist.
removal of green screens and virtual background build ups.
Basically i tell all budding artists that film shots are always involved and require quality work. Those green screen mattes you will find are not as easy to pull as the videos show, there are always little problems that need to be cleaned up with additional mattes built into a super matte. You quite literally have to build it up section by section sometimes to get a good key. that means creating a pull for the hair thats separate from the body sometimes.
all in all though - these making of's are inspirational to budding vfx artists.
I've been on several a+ movies already with greenscreens - it's always a different challenge.
