Are you a hard core gamer like myself?

Cant wait for some of those epic titles such as fallout 76 and Battlefield V ?

Well your in luck with the recent bitcoin and ethereum crash!

GPU makers Nvidia etc have more cards now then they know what to do with which is starting to drive down prices as miners have stopped buying them due to very low returns or just flat out never breaking even on these cards.

A 1070 ti will run you about $500 while a 1080ti will run you about $750

This is off the highs where I was seeing prices upwards of $1,000 per card!

Luckly for myself I picked up a 1080ti for $550 when they where first coming out so paying $750 for a video card that's now 2 years old seems like madness to me. However if your in need of one or many and speculate the price of bitcoin and Ethereum to skyrocket it again you might be in the market now.

In other news the 1090ti or whatever they might call it such as 2080ti etc. Are suspected to be released some time later this year. I would think we would see them start popping out with specs around September into October just in time for the heavy buying season.

But for now those 1080ti card do wonders for you as a gamer and slap two together and you wont need to update your system for a good few years. These 1080ti card also are not super power hungry compared to some of the AMD models I have which makes them good for mining as well as playing games.

SO glad the prices are coming down, I was going to build a new comp earlier this year and the graphics card prices just turned me off.

Now that they have come down, its UPGRADE time! lol

Right the GPUs where half the cost of the PC if not more! You can build a decent system i7 32 GB ram case etc for about $800 and then BAM graphics card lol

EXACTLY! if you go cheap on the graphics you can build a good system, but throw in a 1080 and you almost double your cost. Im a gamer too so def gotta go with a quality card!

Hopefully we get a decent bull run over the next few months and I can buy a card from Newegg which accepts crypto.

Hehe I bought my Asus 1060 6GB in a December sale 2016 (well I should have bought crypto at this time instead) for 270€ (including the game Mafia) and now the card is 320€ 1,5 years later :) I hope, Nvidia will sell the chips cheaper, because I´ve read, they are getting them back from the card companies because the decreasing demand. Because what should they do instead with all the chips?! I would love to have double Ti with a 4K monitor ;)

I wanted to upgrade my graphics card but the price was soo expensive it just made me tell myself, "Let the price of your portfolio increase" but now I can afford it.

As prices come down, I am seriously considering purchasing a setup to mine some crypto. I am just hesistant as I am no computer genius. Do you have any reliable sources to read to consider options?

I have a feeling you get there first many times Sean :) upvoted good luck
