Pepsi-Man is an action video game developed and published by KID for PlayStation in 1999. Is based on the superhero mascot of the american carbonated soft drink Pepsi's.
The player focuses on avoiding obstacles by running, sliding, and jumping, while guiding a Pepsi-Man that runs automatically through each of the game's stages. And you have to reach the end of each segment before running out of time.
The game consists of 4 stages, each divided into 3 segments, and each one involves the superhero Pepsi-Man, whose mission is saving a person who is in need of a drink, such as a military man in the middle of a desert, by giving them a can of Pepsi.
After you complete the game for the first time, you can unlock aditional game modes, such as the expert and free to play mode.
The stages are all based on real locations, such as San Francisco and New York City.
In the third segment of each stage there will be a little change in the game dynamic, because instead of running upwards, you will have to run downwards while trying to avoid being flattened by a truck, a huge can of pepsi , and other things depending on the stage you are playing.
This game is somewhat bizarre, but that combined with the simple gameplay and funny moments is what makes this game memorable.
Is a shame that this game was hard to find and not many people played it when it was released. I was lucky enough that a friend of mine purchased this game somewhere , and i borrowed it to play.
Although short, it turned out to be addictive to some extent. By the way, it would be strange if you did not want to drink at least a can of Pepsi while playing this haha.
