Back to Europe ❤️

This is Pallais Gallien - a ruin of a Roman amphitheater right in the middle of Bordeaux. It takes your breath away when you see it, it has remained, in the middle of a city. The base of the construction is about 2m below street level.

What’s the point? Good question. We need to find our roots, if we want to feel connnected to this crazy world. A bit of background. My parents are European. Their parents emigrated to Australia after the Second World War, seeking a better life, the only problem was that most of the following generation lost their identity, they have no idea why they’re there, or where they came from. I went back.

It was coming home.

I am greatful that my daughter will feel more connected to her roots than even my parents.

For all those who have a European heritage, whichever part of Europe that may be, go back, even just a visit. It will hit you at a soul level and connect you to a few thousand years of history. Those in America, Australia, Canada, all those places Europeans sought a better life, your soul is back home. Enjoy the advantages of these places, but don’t forget where you came from ...

This temple is in Malta, I’m a Maltese citizen (thanks dad). 3600BC. Yes, 3600BC, my ancestors built this. Humbling thought.

These caves are 40 minutes from my house.

These paintings are 17-18000 years old. That connects me even further to this. My ancestors painted these and it blows your mind completely. Australia is where I grew up, the aboriginals had their ancient heritage, and ... now I have mine back.

Here is my town. Find my house!
