According to the article given, the method that was used for the main article is a survey among British adolescents. A behavioural screening questionnaire was conducted to measure the youth aggression and prosocial behaviour.
There are several other methods that were used to analyse the information gained from the survey. The methods are power analysis for confirmatory hypothesis testing, study sampling plan, research ethics and open science practices, computation of criterion variable: aggressive behaviour, computation of explanatory variable: violent video game engagement, computation of control variables: trait-level aggression, check question: subjective game engagement and lastly, consideration of outcome-neutral conditions.

The objective of the study is to determine whether or not playing violent video games contribute to adolescents' violent behaviour.

We disagree with the main article which stated that the violent video game engagement is not associated with adolescents’ aggressive behaviour. Based on what we have found, there are a lot of studies that show playing violent video games can increase aggressive thoughts, behaviors, and feelings in both the short-term and long-term. We found that violent video games can also desensitize people to seeing aggressive behavior and decrease prosocial behaviors such as helping another person and feeling empathy. The longer that individuals are exposed to violent video games, the more likely they are to have aggressive behaviors, thoughts, and feelings. These effects have been seen in studies in both Eastern and Western countries. Although males spend more time than females playing violent video games, violent video game exposure can increase aggressive thoughts, behaviors, and feelings in both sexes.

One of the examples is, there was a study conducted in the U.S.A where video games have become one of the favourite activities of American children. This research is linking violent video game play to aggressive cognitions, attitudes, and behaviour. The first goal of this study was to document the video games habits of adolescents and the level of parental monitoring of adolescent video game use. The second goal was to examine associations among violent video game exposure, hostility, arguments with teachers, school grades, and physical fights. In addition, path analyses were conducted to test mediational pathways from video game habits to outcomes. Six hundred and seven 8th- and 9th-grade students from four schools participated. Overall, adolescents who expose themselves to greater amounts of video game violence were more hostile, reported getting into arguments with teachers more frequently, were more likely to be involved in physical fights, and performed more poorly in school.

To conclude this, all of the information has stated one way or another with proof that leads to people becoming aggressive as they start to engage themselves with those games. Sometimes, it is not due to the inner nature that made them become like that. Some researchers have taken note of this criticism in recent years and begun exploring alternative hypotheses for the differences found, such as that the violent games chosen were also harder to master and that many people had aggressive thoughts simply because they lost. Those individuals will get emotionally attached to the beings that are represented in the game. While it is true that video games allow people to be more relaxed, it should always have a limit to how much you can be exposed to them. In this case specifically, playing violent video games is like toxic to people at a young age.

Not to mention, violent video games these days are addictive and could lead to aggressive behaviour among the adolescents. In Malaysia, we have seen a lot of teenagers misbehave while playing violent video games such as PUBG, Dota and Fortnite. The examples of the aggressive behaviours are using inappropriate words, getting distraught when they lose, emotionally unstable and being hostile towards people. The impact of violent video games toward adolescents cannot be gainsaid. Hence, our stand is only based on our limited knowledge, culture and experiences.
