Decentraland have released a land parcel editor.
Really awesome to see the Decentraland development team delivering the products the community want. This tool is a a key piece for those of us building out our districts in the Virtual World.
This will allow Land owners to arrange objects on their parcel and do some level of modelling - so far there is the ability to add primitive shapes - so that indicates that this will be a fully fledged tool that can be used for design work as well as 3D layout/arrangement work.
If you are already familiar with Decentraland then you might want to try the editor yourself: https://editor.decentraland.org
If you don't know about this project then their website is the best place to start: www.decentraland.org
One of the great things about it is that it lets team members collaborate in VR in real time using a decentralized chat function which has been built using WebRTC.
The land staking process hasn't even finished - I think for tools like this to be coming on the scene so early in the project is fantastic news for Decentraland and I think it will help show people that they don't have to be a rock star coder to get involved with this project. An eye for design, and a will to create something new, are both probably as valuable in Decentraland as the ability to write code.
