This is what I just wrote to the Coinjar support
Since many countries are not eligible for your services I had an idea of how maybe this could work out for everybody with the introduction of a smart contract that will be issued by Coinjar to anybody, anywhere in the world:
First, a KYC will be submitted by all your customers no matter the residence and origins; once Coinjar verifies the customer as a physical person then...
a smart contract can be released to that customer where he can sends his BTC to a virtual debit card, proprietary of Coinjar, then from there issue a deposit to his bank account
It is a possible way to bypass regulations all the while being completely legal as the virtual debit card will be registered in Australia for instant and secured as everything will be regulated by the smart contract between the customer and Coinjar
This is of course a proposition for the future since many people are stranded from the VISA restrictions of many countries
The potentials are great if this is even a possibility
Best regards,
Thank you
wow..as i was writing I went back to my support ticket again and whoop! there it is a quick reply from Coinjar...
Thanks for getting in touch.
Although CoinJar can be used to send and receive bitcoin internationally, for the time being we're only able to offer bank transfers to and from Australian bank accounts.
On a side note, thank you for the feedback, I've passed this on to the Leadership Team for their consideration!
Do let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with.
Kind regards,
