Vision boards. Love them. I've done a vision board several times in my life, I've done them with the kids, as a family, etc... What's great about a vision board is that, every time you look at it, it reminds you of what's most important in your life. What you want, what you'd like to achieve, where you see yourself headed. Add words, your ideal future, what inspires you such as quotes, things you are striving towards, even memories that make you feel great. I have a space in our bathroom that I just peg things to when they speak to me. I have quotes, the tiny home on wheels I like the most, fitness models that are built like I am (but are in better shape). It's about where I'm at, where I want to go and how I want to get there with reminders of the attitude I want to project.
Reasons why vision boards are awesome:
*Gives you direction and what steps need to be taken to get there
*Follow through - if you see it, you'll continue to strive towards it
*Summarizes what's important to you - keeps you focused. It's more difficult to make a decision counter to what you know you really want when it's in your face
*Focuses you on what you want based on how you want to feel
*Visualization is incredibly powerful
Choose your location wisely. I've used the fridge, a space on my wall that I looked at often, my closet sliding door and my bathroom. Put it somewhere that you'll see it often and actually read through your quotes and words of affirmation. Put the receipt from the conference that made you feel incredible on your vision board. Your vibe attracts your tribe, so start living as the person you are becoming and surrounding yourself with like minded folks that can support your journey.
