May I ask how much of your income comes from these mowing jobs relative to your crafting? I'm just nosey, so don't mind me if you don't want to share it. I dream of making a living on a homestead someday so it really interests me how people do it, especially without a traditional job to pay the bills.

That’s actually a really good question. I don’t mind you asking either! This would (maybe) be a good post to do?
Right now our income is pretty much split into thirds... 1/3 from mowing and misc. yard jobs, 1/3 from my wife’s “two day a week” job, and 1/3 from our crafting.
There will be fluctuations in amounts here and there and seasonal changes too. So this equation will change I’m sure. :)

I would be a great post! And thank you for sharing. Can you do snow ploughing (if it snows where you are) in the winter to keep the yard jobs coming? Otherwise, I imagine that would slow down for a while.
