Proudcers are getting RIPPED off!

For the longest time I was under the impression that a mixtape was more of a DIY way of putting out your music when you didn't have a label backing you. Then as the years went by and people started putting mixtapes on the internet, it was considered a mixtape if it was available for free. But, all that obviously got fucked up somewhere. Now that labels are involved, they press mixtapes on vinyl, have big release dates and give them the same treatment as an album. It seems cooler to call it a mixtape over an album. I don't get it. Someone please define this so we can all get on the same page.

Producers definitely get fucked. Maybe they should start working out contracts with rapper and their labels? If a track gets to a certain level, they get royalties. Maybe start a producers union? I mean, I don't know how the "game" works, but I would be sure I'd be getting my cut if someone else is gonna be walking around with a fucking bag of jewelry. (looking at you Ferg)

I love Ferg, but come on dogg. Pay your producers. That track blew him up. It got fucking remixed because people wanted more of it. I say break some bread for ya boys.
