Sorry about that! Seems our D.Tube Video didn’t upload. We recognize there are still kinks to be worked out there! If anyone has support ideas for what went wrong, please let us know. We uploaded it to YouTube too so you could watch it!!

Greetings from @mountainjewel, with special guests: cherry blossoms & daffodils!!

As Winter rolls into Spring in the Northern Hemisphere, what are the practices that you employ to "liven up" or join in on the raucous grandeur that is the awakening spring?

In today’s vlog, we discuss:

  • wildcrafting, the process of using wild seasonal plants in one’s life
  • aligning with the energy of spring
  • practices to connect with the season

It can be helpful to eat lightly, eat fresh vibrant foods (young greens, sprouts), drink lots of water, clear out the clutter inside and out and even fast.

We like to eat wild seasonal foods! More on that in a soon to come post!

What are ways in which you’re “rising”, “cleansing” and rejuvenating along with the energy of spring?

We’re curious! Please leave your unique ways in the comments!

I'm working towards fasting. I've had some halting starts, but I keep coming back to the necessity to allow my body to clean itself out and start anew.

Right on! I’m currently not totally fasting, but eating lightly and full of spring greens and that feels like enough for me. Best wishes finding your rhythm and what works for you to start anew, @seablue (ok I just went with that rhyme!!) haha

Well, I've been hanging out near my beehives, sort of stalking them really. It's a pretty exciting thing (for me anyhow) to see them finally start crawling out, getting active, doing some cleansing flights as the temps here in central ny rise near 50. We had a warmish day a couple days ago and 50 or so bees were crowded around a little pool of water in snow shovel...was really nice to sit with them for a time and watch them as they drank :)

That’s a really sweet image, thanks for sharing 💛 glad to hear of your observation and connection!

Yesterday the forest was filled with energy. There were so many sounds! After months of silence and feeling alone in our little world it was quite joyful. I could hear the babies chirping, larger birds calling to one another, woodpeckers, squirrels... everything is waking up. I just love it. I found some Mullein growing in the greenhouse, the first sign of green outdoors!

We are going to start our spring fast soon but I would like the birch water to drink and strangely it has not started flowing yet. We'll fast for three days ..maybe five and then drink lots of healthy juices and eat plenty of greens. Spring is late so there aren't any greens to eat yet other than that tray of microgreens I've been working on!

Oh my gosh I would love to read/witness a more detailed account of that. That was just the kind of thing I was hoping to conjure up through this questioning!!!!!!!! 💚🌿🌞

Sweet spring, time to plant new flowers! Lovely dwarf fuschia bougainvillea in the back, so beautiful!! And...we saw baby bunnies last night :) True scenes of spring being in the air! Wonderful vlog, I can smell the cherry blossoms!

Yes! Oooh love the bougainvillea! And baby bunnies.. aww classic signs of spring 😘💚🌿

Spring is my favourite season. Altho it's been a bit rough this year. We had gale force winds (which we hadn't even had in winter! LOL) going to look for wild asparagus this weekend. After this Wondering what flowers are available for use 🌸

Mmmm wonderful! Wild asparagus 😍 curious which flowers are in bloom now where you are @celestialcow?

pretty much all of these are in walking distance from where i live (except the last one, i havent seen yet) theres some more that arent listed here http://spain-info.co.uk/gardening/wild-flowers/ but they are pretty much blooming all at once, some are dying off already but I remembered the tend to come back again in May. ive heard you can do something with morning glory but i dont know about the others but they all look so pretty! :)

I love spring - such a great time for rejuvenation :) I'm doing lots of planting, seeds, starts, and good intentions.

Awesome! Great to hear it. Good intentions are a wonderful way to carry into the fresh season and so much seed starting 😊💚🌿
