VLOG no.9 : Handling Brachypelma vagans

in vlog •  7 years ago  (edited)

Hello everyone!

Today I am showing in this video how to handle tarantula with ease. For all those who have arachnophobia, I think this is the right time to face your fears.

I am handling my female Brachypelma vagans. She is about 5.5 inches already and I have her for three years now. She was a freeby when I bought tarantulas three years ago. She was in the size of a Palay seed when she was handed to me.

This Brachypelma vagans is a dormant specie of tarantula. This does not usually pose a threat or flicks hairs unless it is triggered by sudden force or vibrations.

For three years that I've been taking care of tarantulas, I know already when and how to best handle my tarantas. I often put into my hands my tarantulas after a day of feeding them. That span of moment they won't like to bite and they are not hungry so they don't care about you being a threat or prey.

If ever you would like to pet tarantula, be sure to read a lot about descriptions, types, needs, and characteristics of each specie. Choose the best specie that suits for you.

If you want to handle tarantula too, please be calm and put in mind that tarantulas feel more threatened than us. So try not to induce stress. And when ever you feel itchy because they flicked hairs or got bitten just take antihistamine.

Thank you very much for dropping by.

Godbless
