Seoul is a charming city that is convenient and peaceful. The city seems to be mixed with modern and ancient things. As anyone who wants to travel to Seoul, Korea, I also put Gyeongbokgung Palace as a "must visit" in Seoul. It is not only about admire architecture style but also come to know Korean history and culture,...

Among tons of building and skyscraper, Gyeongbokgung still stands out as a historical evidence of dynasties. When you get inside this place, you will forget the hustle and bustle city out there and be totally immersed in the peace and beauty of antiquity here. When I was walking around the grounds of Palace, I lost to the garden where the King had spent time for relaxing or scrolling,...

I stopped over and took this photo. The view, the arrangement, the architecture,... everything was so gorgeous when arranged together. The small house with graceful columns, the richly carved ceiling was put inside the lake, surrounded by some trees,... What an awesome view.

I felt like I was really lost in some days of long ago when everyone around me was wearing hanbok. The way people dressing combined with the ancient view made everything seemed so real. I think it is thanks to Korean Government for creating tourism policy with a regulation that Tourist doesn't need to buy the ticket to get inside the Palace if they are wearing hanbok. That is a really good idea for speeding up tourism and promoting Korean culture.

Excellent post. And your photo actually does look like an ancient photo, not like one taken in 2018.

It looks it was taken about 100 years ago, and that makes it very evocative. And peaceful.
