I would be discussing about the topic "Gender Discrimination". This topic has been on my mind and I would love to read through.
WHAT IS GENDER DISCRIMINATION?

It is defined as treating a person less because of their sex. Giving a preferential treatment to somebody over another. This topic has been a crisis in our nation which should not be so.
This is very common among men and women,they think women doesn't have right to what men can do. They forgot that what man can do,woman can do better. We believe that women ends their grades in the kitchen and it is only men that should work and cater for the family. Women should also be given chance to prove themselves. We all have skills which we need to put into action. But if you don't allow,it is like killing our potential.
Gender discrimination can also be called gender inequality. Gender inequality is the idea and situation that women and men are not equal.
WE HAVE TYPES OF GENDER DISCRIMINATION,THESE ARE;
- Discrimination in Education"
This is a situation whereby women are treated unequally before men when it comes to admissions,grades,vocational skills,jobs etc. It should not be so because we are all created equally before God and we all should be equally treated both man and woman.
Discrimination in wages
This is whereby a man and woman do the same kind of job and when it comes to paying them,they give the man the larger part than the woman and leaving her dejected. We all have responsibilities to cater for,so as a man has his own responsibility so also the woman.Discrimination in Employment
This is when a man and a woman went for an interview and they employed the woman because of her sex. They believe she should be at home taking care of the home while the man is seen working to bring money for upkeep. Women should not be deprived of working. We all have rights.Pregnancy Discrimination
When a woman who is pregnant goes out to look for job,they won't give her job because she is pregnant. And most women hide their pregnancy in the fear that they would be fired if they found out.
Women should be treated equally with men since God created us equally too. What a man can do,woman can do better.
