Contentment : A wrongly used Concept.

Contentment is a mental or emotional state of satisfaction maybe drawn from being at ease in one's situation, body and mind. Colloquially speaking, contentment could be a state of having accepted one's situation and is a milder and more tentative form of happiness.Source: Wikipedia

Looking at the above meaning critically we can conclude that the word contentment is correct and applicable to all humans. This is because man is subject to change whether positively or negatively, depending on his or her present situation.
From my little research, I have found out that no man wants to be an ex- champion, no one wants to remain irrelevant except those insane. Hence, can we really accept the word CONTENTMENT as the case may be as a state of being balanced or when exactly is the appropriate time for one to say I am contented seeing that human being are always striving to be at his best as far as life is concerned.
Let's consider some tips about life itself and contentment

LIFE AS AN INFANT

The very moment a child is born, it is expected that the child should pass through the normal life processes; learning how to sit, learning how to crawl, learning how to stand and gradually walking, then talking and so on. In this analysis I am not seeing any contentment because from the beginning you strive till death do you part with life challenges.

FINANCIAL ASPECT OF CONTENTMENT

This is a big issue and it's applicable to all humans, no one will want his or her financial status to remain In one spot rather more energy and effort is being put to double or triple our account, now the question is where is the character of the word contentment based on the above analysis? Diversifying in business, seeking for more connection and opportunity for a bigger financial level .

POWER

Still in the spirit of contentment, my question is how do one measure contentment? Because those in power like our modern politicians would do everything possible to remain in power, moving from one point or position to another. For example, in Nigeria those who are elected as councillors want to become local government chairman, local government chairman wants to become state house of assembly member, state house of assembly member wants to be governor, governors wants to be national house of assembly /Senate members, while those in the red carpet house wants to become the president. In this ranking order I haven't see the word contentment in play but rather a active and endless aspiration of wanting more. Then can we agree that contentment is of mere word than action? Well I hope I will get clearer understand via my reader's contribution.

CONTENTMENT IN MARRIAGE

Once two persons are married it's expected of them to reproduce their kind depending on the number they want and it continues till infinity. Father and mother wants to welcome grandchild and so on, why not contented with being married than giving birth and expecting grand children in return? Contentment is a big word Lolzz...

Well in conlusion, since human wants are insatiable I put it to you that we are never contented with our wealth, power, marriage, etc. I think we should fine a better word to replace CONTENTMENT.
