90 Minutes is what matters!

Advice to all sales persons.

My experience as a Financial Advisor and a sales person(marketer), i have realized the your employer don't care how much effort you put out there in the field, whether you talk to 100 people a day and they bounce you,whether you got beaten or slapped by your clients,whether you have money in your pocket to go and prospect ,whether you have eaten,whether you have family problem and all. They don't care!!

All they want to see is your result, how many business are you bringing to the company,whats your production level?
If you complain they will ask you whether the people that are making it have two heads.

So, i now realized that the whole business of a sale person is like a GAME OF FOOTBALL and all that matters is 90MINUTES.

In the game of football, possessions don't count all that count within 90 minute is your 3points(a goal).
If you like play with the best team and you made 99% possession and your opponent just 1% possession with a GOAL(3point). What will be remembered or count is that your opponent goal(3points).

Thats how Sales business is.. Your employer is after that 3points not your 99% possession.

So, the earlier you realize that is all like a GAME OF FOOTBALL the better for you.
All you need to do is to take the best skillful players along,get
the best striker( Always be alert and know when to close a sale)

the best defender( have a good knowledge of your product you market)

The best attacker(Be ready to receive objections and when you do,don't run away respond to them appropriately for a better clarification)

And you're good to go.

Never you rely on your Sales Manager to motivate you to make much sales maybe giving you incentives or something. Is a trap!!
Why is it a Trap??
Because the GAME is unpredictable and most times you don't win and your Sales manager will be on your neck.

The motivation you seek is in your mind! Motivate yourself.
Plan your prospecting list and tell yourself
I must not go into an organization to prospect without signing one or two persons and also getting referrals...
