I run with a strange group of girls. When we decided 4 years ago to take a little day trip to go apple picking, it turned into an affair of sorts.
An affair in the sense that there was a bit of a dress code and an air about the group.
That first year
...there were 6 of us! All except my work friend, were roller derby pals. That was 2014.
The second year
...it was down to the core 4. Us 3 diehard pals, plus my friend from work still found it enjoyable.
The third year, we got rained out and never re-scheduled.
This year...
...it was just us three. The OG of the Apple Orchard Society.
Oh, and Jen's dog Fredrick, who came along because last time he was left home alone he ate a pumpkin spice candle.
Here are a few pics of the beautiful day we had apple picking. We chose Keith's Farm and Orchard, because they also have potatoes you can dig and this year they had the raspberries available.
The doughnuts were so good! I could've eaten at least 6 more. They were still warm!
They encourage you to bring your own reusable bag, so I was able to finally use the bag I did my little embroidery sampler on!
I hope you enjoyed this little walk with me through the apple orchard.
Do you have a fun fall activity you do annually with the family and/or friends? Is apple picking a tradition in your world?
IT looks like you gals had fun. Maybe I'll try to go next year, if you do it again. :)
