Even though I'm not a morning adventurer, how could I not go out there?

The mist was calling my name.

Mr. Pendock and some of his Harem

Snowflake, Darth Layer, Sonic, and in behind is Ozzy (Mr. Pendock's side girls).

And Big Smokie, protecting Mr. Pendock's side girls.

Let's Go to the Ocean

The little boy still out there :) Ok, don't be fooled this time you guys, it is just a statue.

And Lastly...I tried to take a video of a sound...

The tide was going out and the ice was making cool sounds, but my camera didn't pick it up so really it's just a video of me talking and looking at the ice in the cove :)

So as I understand it Big Smoke is the security gard when Darth Layer and his Crue... What's to have a good time with the girls? 😜 I can see it was a foggy day in Nova Scotia, Canada.. So i found out I wanted to send you some sunshine ☀ from Goa India 🇮🇳 here it comes... Was yesterday on the beach here in Phalolem

Ye you right but Darth Layer and his Crue enden up in a really 🐔 fight over here with the locals .. Because of chicks of course... So the got deported to Canada 🍁 again... Darth has a to big ego and are one hell of a wise guy... 😜 haha... Have a great weekend 🙏

Hey @lyndsaybowes I'm just loving the atmospheric fog in these pictures, it looks amazing!! I will have to take some from when the fog rolls in on Dartmoor (where the hound of the Baskervilles is set) it's legendary and has caught out many people over the years. There is a very old prison in the middle of the Moor and there are tales of people escaping in bad weather and fog and then banging on the doors a few hours later to be let back in!

I'm really glad you braved it this morning and decided to head out doors, we are all richer for it. I think people would be getting concerned for the little boy if you hadn't added that proviso lol .. Love the video as well, you have captured the moment perfecty ... thank you for sharing!!

I've heard about the fog there, it comes a lot hey? It would get pretty dreary after a time...I would love love love to see your misty photos, and that old prison sounds pretty spooky!!

The area is notorious for fog .. but in a way that makes the crisp, clear and beautiful days that much sweeter .. when the sun is shining I wouldn't want to be anywhere else, it's just a shame it's not sunny very often! lol

It reminds me so much of when I was in Ohio in the winters.
It was OK then. And I could get used to it again. But I do like the sunshine better. And I think it is more healthy for us.
It is said that on average. People live 10 year longer in Florida.
How true is that? I don't know.
But, I still like to look at the cool fog that you have shown us.
It will change in the next few weeks. That is something good to look forward to.

The mist is quite thick this morning, especially towards the sea and I can feel that it is still very cold out there. But I think I would prefer that to the heat we are experiencing in the tropics.
Mr Pendock has a harem full. The other male species must envy him alot.

How absolutely serene, love the mist. Your roosters seem nicer then many I’ve encountered. Henry Penny’s neck was really raw from an ol rooster pecking at her. She has become my favorite hen, she likes to cuddle.🐓

Hi Lindsay! The fog looks just amazing. Very good shots. A mystical view of the ocean. Wow! It's probably getting warmer. What's the temperature now? When the fog falls, it "eats" the snow. But You have no snow, only ice. He began to melt That spring is coming :) . Hurray! I am very happy. Thank you for this walk in the fog.

We had some fog yesterday too but it only stayed in the hills. Hm that sounds like a cool horror movie - Fog in the hills. hahah.
So I think I was hearing what you are talking about. Is it the crackling sound? I think it's pretty cool. You are very lucky to be able to benefit from such views. I am happy for you. And you are quite the photographer too :)

I know EXACTLY the eerie ice sounds you're talking about, my mom sent me a similar video last year after a hike she took with her doggo, makes you feel like you're on an alien planet!

You can pick up a little crackling sound on the video. The ocean is awesome when it is misty and making interesting ice sounds. It makes it seem more mysterious...

Thank you for the article :)) Your photos reminded me of my native country - Belarus. There are often such mystical fogs. But in Belarus there is no ocean, no sea. I now live in Bulgaria and your photos have caused me a feeling of nostalgia. You have a harsh climate, but nature and the landscape are beautiful. And your chickens, still, feel good :)) Apparently, the fog does not bother them :))

Cold! Too cold!
When ever I visit your blog, and that is approximately an each few days, I need an additional pair of the socks,a blanket, my cat to warm my feet and a bucket of tea to defrost me...
I really dislike an ice and anything THAT cold, so ... there should be an initiative somewhere in here to transport you and chickens to some tropical paradise beach... but I guess they will eat who ever approaches the parameter . ... lol

Well, here the coldest it gets is -10 in the winter. It's not too bad either really. I have lived in the tundra and prairie regions of Canada which saw sometimes cold of -40, and windchills of -50 on very bad days.

I think we accustomed to our surroundings. The city where I'm living, coldest whether here was 4 degree and for almost 3/4 quarters, weather remains hot as high as scorching 50 degree.

True indeed, adventure is something that is fun, and has many benefits, where we will be more familiar with a region / village and can eliminate fatigue. In the post this time, i see photos of fog and snow so make suast this time, I saw photos of fog and snow so it made the atmosphere so calm. Unfortunately the place I have no snow.

A foggy winter morning is hard to beat for moody photography. It helps to be wearing the right clothes, lol. I really like the images over the ice and down the trail. Both of them just call out to keep walking and see what's just out of view. Happy winter - still. ; )

although all the clicks were just perfect but the one with hanging tyre is most beautiful.. and that sound of ice cracking is terrifying though and the mist and the chicken they play a funny part here ...

Hey! @lyndsaybowes, your photography is top notch I must confess. Its as beautiful as "I wanna enlarge a larger frame n place it in my reading room".

But then again, those chickens practicing a free range system. Are you sure its safe for them?
