BEACHCOMBING AT BEACHMEADOWS, LIVERPOOL, NOVA SCOTIA

in walkwithme •  7 years ago  (edited)

The sun is shining, glistening really, almost jumping on the waves and the Ernes and Gulls are squawking. What a day to Beachcomb. No bathing suit, no bare feet, no matter.....NO PEOPLE. There is something incredibly empowering about spending an afternoon on the beach with no people.

We slowly meandering up the road toward the beach, we can hear it, we can smell it.

All beaches in Nova Scotia have boardwalks down to the beach. In order to protect all the grasses and the birds that use them. Especially the Sandpipers or what they also call Piping Plovers. I love these little guys, they scurry about on the beach and they always look like they are running sideways. Actually I think they are, attempting to outrun the waves. lol

The excitement mounts as we head down the boardwalk. Still we are reminded everywhere of the destruction of the devastating storms we have recently encountered.

Ahhhh, there we are and no one here. How very cool.

More Ahhh

and more

We make our way down to the large rock formations, they look interesting and we feel like climbing about. Also to see what all the noise and fuss is about.

Tides coming in and we get a splurge now and then. Hard to catch with a phone but I manage.

Oh now we see what is making all the fuss and the noise, even over the noise of the waves.

Ok..for sure we are going up there.

What a view!!!!

Have you enjoyed the visit to Beachmeadows as much as we did? Come along again for more.

Me too <3 <3 <3 Summer holidays will come before we know it!

yes..and we sat today and did our planning as to the back and forth to Ontario...re: the house or better known as the Elephant in the room. That we will spend as much time here as possible. xx Check out the blog about the river. You will love that.

You captured some amazing photos. I can feel that wind and hear those birds. My favorite place to be is on any beach whether crowded or all to myself. It just calms me right down and puts me into such a clear and wonderful headspace.

Yes..so very wonderful and a great way to spend the day. Always. xx

I agree it is a wonderful way to spend the day. Soon we will be able to do so much more outside again.

Now thats My kind of beach, could sit on those rocks for hours listening to the chatter of the Gulls and the comings and going of the waves, taking in the smells, and hopefully getting some early spring sun 😎😎

Yes. I also find it the most wonderful place on earth. Never get tired of it and can't ever seem to get enough of it. The world always seems to be in order at the beach.

Yes it does😎
