How to Install Exodus Wallet
Update your Exodus Wallet, most issues occurs by outdated version:

- To install Exodus wallet, download the application file for your designated operating system from the Exodus site (link). Then click either drag and drop the Exodus application into your applications folder on Mac or open the file and complete the installation steps on PC.
- Once installed, open the program and you should be asked to create a password. You have now successfully installed Exodus. Proceed to the next section if you want to create your Exodus wallet now.
How to Create and Backup Your Exodus Wallet
- Execute the Exodus application on your PC or Mac and you will be automatically taken to the settings screen where you will be asked to enter a password. Enter a complex password and then click the Next button to move to the next step where you be asked to confirm your password again.
- Exodus will then generate and show your recovery sentence. This is a 12 word phrase that you can use to recover your wallet, or transfer your funds to a different compatible wallet. Scroll over each box to reveal your recovery sentence and write this down for safekeeping. You can also print all 12 words at once using the Print Phrase option.
- Check your recovery sentence backup in the next step by selecting the word that is found within your 12 word sentence. Once confirmed, click the Finish button to complete your wallet set up.
- Keep your 12 word recovery sentence secured in a safe place. This will be the only way to recover your wallet if you forget your Exodus password.
Using Exodus Wallet
- Once you have created and backed up your Exodus wallet using the above steps, you will be free to begin using your wallet. Overall, there are three main things you can do with your wallet: Send money, exchange and add new cryptocurrencies.
- Sending money is a simple task. You just need to select your wallet on the left then select the cryptocurrency you wish to send, before clicking the actual Send button. This will then allow you to enter the recipient address and amount to send.
- To add additional cryptocurrencies you can head over to the Settings menu and click on the Assets tab. This will bring up a list of supported cryptocurrencies, which you can add or remove from your wallet. Once added/removed, this change will be reflected in the Wallet section of Exodus.
- The Exchange function on Exodus is pretty self-explanatory. You can find the built-in exchange tool in the Exchange section, where you will be able to select which cryptocurrencies you want to exchange on the left (sell) and right (receive) panels. This is automatically executed within Exodus.
