As both the number and variety of cryptocurrencies available increase and improve over time, cryptocurrency users can feel spoiled for choice, since there are now more ways than ever before to send value and benefit from the new decentralized economy.
One of the most important types of new cryptocurrencies that have appeared as of late are stablecoins. In essence, these are cryptocurrencies that have their value pegged to the value of something else — typically a fiat currency such as the US dollar (USD). Nowadays, there are more than a dozen different stablecoins available, including Tether, TrueUSD, USD Coin and Paxos standard, each of which allows holders to exit volatility or send guaranteed amounts to other users.
However, although stablecoins are hugely popular, only a select few cryptocurrency wallets actually allow users to use and store more than one in their wallet. Because of this, wallets users are often stuck just using whichever stablecoin is supported by their wallet, rather than being able to pick and choose the one they’d rather use.
Exodus isn’t like most wallets. Instead, Exodus allows customers to select from a variety of different stablecoins, in addition to the more than 100 other assets supported by the wallet. However, by default, only Tether is enabled by the wallet, so we’ll show you how to enable other options.
Update your Exodus Wallet, most issues occurs by outdated version:

Add More Stablecoins to Your Exodus Wallet
- To start with, you will need to fire up your Exodus wallet and navigate to the Settings menu.
- Within the setting menu, Exodus will display a list of all the different cryptocurrencies supported by the app. Here, you can either search for the stablecoin you wish to add to your wallet, or scroll down the list to see all the available options.
- Currently, Exodus supports the following five stablecoins: Tether, TrueUSD, USD Coin, Paxos Standard, and Gemini Dollar.
- When you have found the stablecoin(s) you want to add, select the checkbox on the left of each and they will be automatically added to your Exodus wallet.
- You will then be able to navigate back to your Exodus wallet, where you will find the newly added stablecoins available to use. As you can see above, both USD Coin and TrueUSD are now available in our example, whereas these were not present before.
