How to Audit Your Exodus Deposits and Withdrawals

Exodus is a simple cryptocurrency wallet client that offers a huge range of features, as well as support for more than 100 different cryptocurrencies.
Since Exodus is one of the most popular multi-asset wallets available, it isn’t uncommon for Exodus to be the primary tool used for making cryptocurrency payments and receiving funds. As such, a good proportion of users use Exodus on a regular basis, potentially sending multiple transactions per week, or even per day.
For these users, it is important to keep accurate records of your transactions, for both accounting and auditing purposes, since you never know when you might want to find a transaction that was sent a day, a month, or even a year ago. Depending on the number of transactions a user sends, simply scrolling through the transaction history on the Exodus client can be a time-consuming process, and isn’t very practical at all.
Luckily, Exodus includes a built-in feature that makes auditing both deposits and withdrawals an extremely simple process. We’ll show you exactly how in the tutorial below!

Audit your Exodus Transactions

Before you begin to audit your wallet, you will want to rescan the blockchain to ensure your transaction history is up to date. To do this, open up Exodus and navigate to the wallet you wish to audit.
In the top right of the window, click the ellipses button to open a drop-down menu and select the Export Transactions option. Click Rescan on the next page and wait until the process completes.
You can then move on to the next step.
You will now need to export your transaction history to a .CSV file. Click on the ellipses symbol again to open up the additional options, and then select the Export Transaction option.
Exodus will then begin to export your transactions to your computer desktop. Depending on how many transactions you have this might be either instant or could take several seconds.
If you are using a Mac, Exodus will automatically create a folder on your desktop containing all of your transaction logs. These will be organized by name, with the name of the cryptocurrency and the date of the backup listed as part of the file name.
You will then be able to open this file in your spreadsheet manager of choice to audit your funds. Your transactions will be listed with the fields shown above, allowing you to easily sort your transfers and deposits by date, amount and transaction fee.
You can also see a history of your account balance at the time of the transfer.
