Introduction

Today we will be going over the steps that are needed to fix this Ledger Live error. If you follow each of the steps and are unable to resolve your issue, then you will need to contact Ledger Live’s Support team and have them take a look.

Steps to fix

Most of the Ledger Live issues can be resolve by updating Ledger Live application!

Download last version Ledger Live for:

  1. **Download Ledger Live for Windows**
  2. **Download Ledger Live for Android**
  3. **Download Ledger Live for MAC OS**
Here is a list of some common issues that may be the reason your device isn’t connecting correctly. However, if the problem continues, then we can explore other possibilities.
Step 1: Check Ledgers System Status to see if there are any known issues now.
Step 2: Close all other applications that you have opened, which include crypto wallets and ledger apps. Sometimes the system is getting overloaded with signals.
Step 3: Turn off any VPN’s that may be running, and use Ledger Live.
Step 4: If you have a spare USB cable, then try and use that, as the cord may be damaged internally even if it doesn’t show outside wear.
Step 5: Use a different USB port on your computer; your port might not be responding correctly.
Step 6: Restart your computer, and let it load all the startup programs before you start again. There may be a program running on your computer that is taking a lot of server power, which is upsetting the connection.
Step 7: If the problem still hasn’t been fixed, then try another computer and see if it works. (Only use a computer that you trust hasn’t been compromised.)
*If the problem still has not been fixed, then you will need to use a more advanced guide that is specific to your operating system, that can be found below.

We will look at some additional fixes on Windows and Mac Operating systems.

Step 5: Now open your control panel and clicking on “Devices and printers.”

Step 6: You will see Nano S as an option, double click it, and then click on the hardware tab.

Step 7: You will see a tab that says, “USB Input Device,” click that and move over to the automatic driver selection. You will want to do this for each of the USB input Devices.

Step 8: Plug your device back in and see if the issue fixed. If the issue has not resolved, then there might be a problem with the device, in which case you will need to contact Ledger Support.

Mac

Conclusion:

If there are connection issues with your Ledger, then it could impact the way you use Ledger Live. In most cases, the fixes are straightforward, but in some more advance cases, you may need to contact Ledger Support as the problem might stem from the actual device. If this is the case, Ledger might recommend that a new device be used, which would mean that your coins should be transferred over.
