Transacting with cryptocurrencies is fast, cheap and above all else, secure. For this reason, cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Tether and Litecoin have become popular payment tools for businesses, individuals and organizations of all kinds.
However, unlike most online payment processors and banks, only a select few cryptocurrency wallets allow users to properly manage their finances and view a complete history of their older transactions. Exodus is one of these — allowing users to extract a complete archive of all their transactions conducted through their Exodus wallet.
Now, you might be thinking, “why would I need to export my transactions?” Well, there are a range of reasons why somebody might want to separate their transactions into a simple to read, searchable list, these include;
- Easily find and check the status of transactions
- Accounting and auditing purposes
- Managing finances
Exodus makes it incredibly easy to export your transaction history for any of the more than 100 supported cryptocurrencies. This file is exported as a Comma-separated values (CSV) file, which can be easily opened and used in a variety of spreadsheet programs such as Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel, or added to financial management tools like QuickBooks.

Update your Exodus Wallet, most issues occurs by outdated version:

Export Your Transactions From Exodus
- With Exodus open, select the wallet section on the left and navigate to the cryptocurrency you wish to export your transaction history for. For our example, we have selected Bitcoin.
- On the top right of the wallet window you will see an ellipses symbol below the Advanced options. Click the ellipses to open a range of additional options, including the Export Transactions option.
- Select Export Transactions and Exodus will then begin to export your transactions to your computer desktop. Depending on how many transactions you have, this might be either instant, or could take several seconds.
- If you are using a Mac, Exodus will automatically create a folder on your desktop containing all of your transaction logs. These will be organized by name, with the name of the cryptocurrency and the date of the backup listed as part of the file name.
