The Parachicos are traditional dancers of the Big Festival of Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas that takes place from January 15 to 23 of each year. The traditional festival, which is made up of music, dance, handicrafts, gastronomy, religious ceremonies and other amusements, is part of the festivities in honor of the Lord of Esquipulas, San Antonio Abad and San Sebastian, the latter being especially honored.
