Military Armament Corporation Model 10 (MAC-10)

I ran across this old photo of me I had from about a year ago. I forgot I even held it. Yes, that's my mean scary gangster face.

This is the Military Armament Corporation Model 10 / MAC-10 chambered in .45 ACP. It was invented by Gordon B. Ingram in 1964.

It literally serves no practical purpose but assassinations. It is probably one of the worst choices you can make for home defense, goes for about a grand and is a heavy sumbitch. Only your first round is accurate then you're all over the place. It fires at around 1200 rounds per minute so aside from being an intimating one and a half seconds, you're screwed if there's more than one assailant spread apart from each other.

I'll take a pistol, revolver, AR-15, or shotgun any day over this thing.

Thanks man. I might be going shooting in the desert this weekend or in the next few weeks. I'll be sure to post us shooting the 357 and 1911. Sadly there will be nothing cool like a MAC-10.

Check out my exploding target video.
