I've loved people who have been in the military. Though I have never seen battle myself, the despair in the eyes of those who have experienced it while they tell the story is enough for me to understand.

it's just sad that so many people are willing to sign up to be agents of violence for the state. It truly is a waste of a life. Wars are only fought for corporate interest/greed, never in the interest of the people.
