Brilliantly written Caitlin and a point that has been waiting to be made for too long. The war machine only cares about the deaths of the servicemen in so far as those deaths could cause public concern ..... solution? Control the narrative - they are heroes and not only are you unpatriotic but also callous beyond belief in trampling over the grieving families emotions if you suggest that their dead family member was not a hero.
