Warhound - Only Death is Real

in warhound •  7 years ago

From the majestic lands of Bengal, uttering the chaotic battle hymns. Warhound is all about death, wars of antiquity, forgotten roots of Bengal and the ancient kingdom of Gangariday (গঙ্গাহৃদয় / গঙ্গারিডি রাজ্য).

Warhound hail and worship death and we strive for restoring the balance. To us, only death is real. In fact, we perceive death as an essence of eternal change; which is the only certain phenomenon in the ever-expanding cosmos. This notion merely cannot dispel us from speaking our mind nor restrain us from breaking old barriers. Rather we acknowledge and appreciate it more from our core to comprehend and adapt so that we can evolve throughout the ages in perfect balance and harmony.

However, on another note, we also love to write stories and post-dict about our glorious days of antiquity. History is an absolutely opulent treasure to us- A keepsake that shall live within forever and go around without furthermore.

HISTORY:

2005-06: The band was initially formed under the name Carnage in late 2006 by Ifte and Auvee during their college days. Soon Ovee and Partho joined in as the guitarist and drummer. Mehedi joined as a band Manager. They started covering random songs of their personal choices. At this point, both Ifte and Auvee were playing the role of vocalists, sometimes by performing together in a song or sometimes by changing between themselves as the songs demanded.

2007-08: After a gig at All Community Center, Ifte decided to leave the band as he was having a conflict of influence or interest(!) with the others who were planning to explore more extreme sub-genres of heavy metal. The band decided to move on without him as a Death Metal act and kept performing in the gigs around the town.

2008-09: After playing in a couple of gigs they started working on their own numbers – Mrittudut and Hatred Unleashed Aggression; unfortunately the songs were never released. They kept experimenting and jamming the songs. Ovee playing for a thrash metal MirrorBlaze simultaneously. Everything was going great; hard and heavy. But in mid-2008 Partho decided to leave the band for another death metal group Jahiliyah. The band was on the verge of separation at this point. Though Auvee and Ovee with Manager Mehedi on kept working for the band but they were unable to find a suitable drummer of their preference. Soon Auvee decided to go abroad for higher education and the band was on the hold. The group split-up in that year only to reemerge some years later.

2012: Carnage was reformed as Warhound.

2013: Warhound released their debut EP: Ominous Death Carnage in cassette format limited to 30 copies. Nasif played and recorded as the voice as Auvee was still in abroad.

2014: Auvee came back from UK and rejoined the band.

2015: The band released a split with Swedish death metal act Wombbath titled “Ascending into the Oblivion of Dusk”. It was released in 7″ vinyl by Slaughterhouse Records (USA).

2016: The band released their famous single Flesh Decay.
